 Khangchendzonga National Park

The Indian side of the mighty Kangchenjunga park a protected park area called the Khangchendzonga (or Kangchenjunga) National Park. Sikkim’s largest national wildlife and biosphere reserve—is spread across an area of 850 sq km—also includes the beautiful Zemu Glacier.

    Rumtek Gompa

         Suspended at a height of 5,800 ft, the three-storeyed Rumtek Gompa was built by the 16th        Karmapa and head of the Karma Kagyu-pa (Black Hat) order of Tibetan Buddhism. The biggest monastery in Sikkim is also a fine example of Tibetan architecture and comprises the main shrine-temple, the monastery, a retreat center, a monastic college (Shedra), a nun's hostel, some stupas, a protector’s shrine and other religious institutions.

    Phodong Gompa

         One of the six most important monasteries in Sikkim—and possibly one of the most beautiful          monasteries in India—Phodong Gompa rests above the village of Phodong. This haven dates back to early 18th century but was renovated to house over 260 Buddhist monks

The most magnificent fort in Jodhpur is the Mehrangarh Fort. It is situated on a 150m high hill. Rao Jodha hill, the chief of Rathore clan, constructed it in 1459.
